Women Walking Together

A Crowned Care Community Initiative.

Creating safe, welcoming spaces for women to connect through shared life experiences. Each walk centres around a different season or challenge, offering opportunities for gentle movement, meaningful conversation and community.

Women Walking Together: Through Grief

Free monthly community walks for women navigating grief in all its forms.

Grief can be an incredibly lonely journey.

More than losing someone we love, it can come through the loss of a relationship, health, identity, dreams, home, employment, fertility, or any significant life change. Whatever your story, you don't have to walk through it alone.

Women Walking Together: Through Grief is a gentle, welcoming space where women can connect with others who understand that grief comes in many forms. Through walking side by side, we create opportunities for conversation, reflection and quiet companionship - without pressure to share more than you're comfortable with.

Women Walking Together is a free community peer support initiative. It is not group counselling, therapy or a substitute for professional mental health care. While hosted by a qualified counsellor, the purpose of these walks is to foster connection, encouragement and community through shared experiences.

Who is it for?

Women aged 18+ who are navigating grief, loss or significant life transitions, regardless of where they are in their journey.

Whether your loss is recent or many years ago, you are welcome.

A few things to know

  • Walks are designed for gentle movement and connection rather than fitness.

  • Participation is completely voluntary - you are welcome to walk quietly or join in conversation.

  • Walks may be postponed in the event of severe weather.

  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle and dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Little ones and furry friends are welcome too. Children and pets are welcome to join the walk as long as they remain under the care and supervision of their accompanying adult.

Important Information

  • Women Walking Together is a peer support community initiative. Participants are encouraged to take care of their own physical and emotional wellbeing during the walk and to participate in ways that feel comfortable for them. If you require individual counselling, crisis support or other professional mental health care, please seek appropriate services.

  • Participants attend at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate in the walk.

  • Please share only what you feel comfortable sharing. Everyone's grief journey is unique, and listening quietly is just as welcome as joining the conversation.
